Au Yeung Wai Yip is a once-famous private detective who moved his practice from Hong Kong to Malaysia to be with his wife. With the move came a downgrade in clients and cases with adultery investigations becoming his bread and butter, as evidenced by the gangster who wants his girl monitored.

Worse still, his wife is worth investigating as their marriage flounders, a fact he must face when a client presents her picture for investigation. When a desperate man comes looking for help finding his missing fiancee, Au finds himself thrown into a bloody serial murder case involving a cop whose wife is in a coma. All three cases feed back into Au’s own personal life as he tries to maintain his cool and objectivity.
