And Then How He Told the Horse Mackerel
真アジ
世界初上映 World Premiere
Hanaoka loves Mirei, his classmate at a culinary school he attends, but expressing that feeling in words is hard to do. When the two are given an assignment to make Horse Mackerel Nanbanzuke, an offbeat love adventure ensues as Hanaoka is blindfolded by Mirei and led across town on a search for ingredients and, hopefully, understanding and connection.
Audiences will be delighted in KIMURA Shin’s playful uses of visual and aural elements to convey Hanaoka’s senses of sight, sound, smell, and touch being manipulated on his journey that will bring him closer to being able to describe in a more detailed way just why he loves Mirei.
