Life Is Snow
相談
With his red coat and sake-fuelled fiery attitude, a bellicose old man named Ota barrels through the snow to a police station to pursue justice against his employer who recently fired him and a manager who assaulted him. His lawyer, Sato, will proceed with the case uneasily, coldly, then desperately as Ota’s increasingly hot temper and hidden facts and feelings burst forth from their tense relationship.
With a handheld camera and balletic blocking from a strong cast, a feeling of suspense comes with each twist in a case that spirals out of control with every revelation as Ota’s behaviour and background come into play. The atmospheric snowy Hokkaido setting and a fierce performance by NISHIOKA Tokuma supercharges a compelling story.
