Last Song For You
久別重逢
日本初上映 Japan Premiere
Once a famous and sought-after Cantopop singer back in the 90s, So Sing-wah has hit rock bottom. He cannot compose a song for a rising star, he cannot sleep, and too often, he resorts to drinking and soon ends up being hospitalised. This is how he reunites with his unrequited high school love, Ha Man-huen. Tragically, she dies but her connection to him hasn’t been severed yet as a girl who claims to be her daughter visits So, asking him to join her journey to scatter her mother’s ashes and catch a special sunrise in Japan. So agrees to go.

Thus starts a dual narrative set in Shikoku and also So’s memories of Man-huen and their last school year together, a time when a shared love of music and an intense bond with each other during turbulent times bound them. This pure love story is sentimental for Hong Kong’s past and has many unexpected and deeply moving twists that lead to a hopeful future.
