Thongkam and Sek are a gay couple who have painstakingly built a home and a durian orchard, the profits from which will allow them to spend the rest of their lives together in their mountain paradise. Sek’s death after a fall, however, turns that dream into a nightmare for Thongkam as Sek’s invalid mother and her adopted daughter claim the inheritance. Since everything is legally in Sek’s name, Thongkam finds himself thrown off the land and stripped of all assets. Desperate to reclaim what is his, he plots his revenge.
Made before Thailand made same-sex marriage legal, the film delivers both critiques and uses marriage inequality for a story told with tones of horror and melodrama and packed with love, hate, betrayal, and DRAMA, all delivered the beautiful backdrop of the durian orchard and Thai countryside.
