Osaka Asian Film Festival 2025 Film Entry
OAFF is now accepting submissions. Films produced in Asian countries/regions, and films related to Asia and/or Asian people are eligible. The selected films will be screened at the Osaka Asian Film Festival 2025, held from March 14 to 23, 2025.
If you are interested in submitting your film, please read the the Entry Regulations carefully to confirm if your film meets all the requirements and if you understand and agree to all terms and conditions.

Q. Can I submit documentaries?
A. Yes, you can.
Q. Can I submit animation?
A. Yes, you can.
Q. Can I submit a film not produced in Asia?
A. Yes. Films related to Asia and/or Asian people, in the aspect of themes, story, creators and so on, are also eligible.
Q. On the Entry Form, some items are not compulsory. Can I leave them blank?
A. Please fill in as many items as possible. The information on your entry form is very important for the selection process. For example, Cast List is not compulsory, but if your film cast any actors/actresses, please make sure to enter their names.
Q. What do “World premiere” and “International premiere” mean?
A. If your film will not have been publicly shown ANYWHERE AT ALL before the screening at Osaka Asian Film Festival 2025, your film will have its World Premiere at the festival.
Q. What do “International premiere” mean?
A. If your film will not have been publicly shown ANYWHERE OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY/REGION OF PRODUCTION before the screening at Osaka Asian Film Festival 2025, your film will have its International Premiere at the festival.
Q. What does “publicly shown” mean?
A. “Publicly shown” means that the film is shown in a situation where anyone can attend and view it, regardless of whether it is charged or free, and regardless of whether it is shown on screen or online. In addition to theatrical release, screenings at film festivals and one-time event screenings also fall under this category. Invitation-only private previews limited to interested parties do not fall under this category. If after submitting your film, another screening is scheduled, please contact us as soon as possible.
Q. Is English subtitles necessary for my film?
A. English subtitles is required, unless your film is English- or Japanese-speaking film.
Q. Can I submit a screener for a film still in post-production?
A. Yes.
