All Shall Be Well
從今以後
日本初上映 Japan Premiere
For 30 years, Angie and Pat, two women in their 60s, have lived openly as a lesbian couple. It had seemed like their relationship had been accepted by their families until Pat suddenly died and the attitudes of her relatives slowly changed towards Angie. At first supported, Angie’s presence is diminished at memorials and conflict breaks out over the flat she shared with Pat as Hong Kong law leaves Angie with no legal claim to her partner’s estate. In a precarious situation, Angie must mourn her lost love while confronting the unravelling of family ties.

Winner of the Best Feature Film Teddy Award at Berlinale 2024, All Shall Be Well tells a love story while highlighting issues and indignities faced by the older queer community. Never adopting melodrama, it presents complicated characters that make the viewer question how they would react in this situation.
