It’s time for the 16th Shinshu Ensemble Contest but trombonist Ogashira Kaori has bailed on her bandmates, the brave Yokosuka High School Brass Quintet! With just hours before their big performance, a horrible memory of collapsing during a previous competition has Kaori hesitating. It falls to her fellow bandmate Sakura to drag the errant Kaori back and help her regain her confidence.

This is light-hearted fun with its dynamic framing, editing, and an exhilarating brass band performance which is a blast of energy that helps energise the story (and Kaori’s comeback!).
