The female trainees in Dorm 7 at a Malaysia National Service camp are awoken just before midnight and summoned by their instructor to gather. A complaint has been made: a dirty sanitary pad was left in a toilet. The punishment is to clean up. The resulting experience strains the harmony amongst this multi-ethnic group but a begrudging camaraderie based on gender and shared hardship is also glimpsed.
